I started breaking out in like the 7th grade…and all through highschool it started getting way worse. I’m 18 now and I break out really bad on the sides of my chin and the sides of my face, I’m taking about like underground cystic pimples on my chin and I have some scarring on the sides. I take super good care of my skin, I wash my face every morning and every night, I moisuturize, I used spot treatment, I do Glycolic & Lactic acid peels, I take vitamins EVERYDAY (fish oil, vitamin c, vitamin d, vitamin e, zinc, prenatal) I just started birth control pills. I have friends who like never even wash their faces and they have FLAWLESS skin and dont wear any foundation. I don’t get it why do I have bad skin and they don’t…is it hereditary? Because my mom had pretty bad skin too. oh & im on my 1st month of accutane….don’t noticed a difference though….help!

Making your own will save money because many products on the market are extremely expensive because vitamin C is unstable and little amount of ascorbic acid. Stay away from products that in clear containers that destroy the effectiveness and the serum/lotion/cream that are tinted because you cannot tell if your skin care product was oxidized. However, vitamin C does not work on everyone but newer vitamin C derivatives still have anti-aging benefits. Always perform a batch test because vitamin C can be irritating to the skin.
***Apply the serum over the face and gently pat around the eyes but makes sure to do a patch test on the wrist to see you the serum stings/irritating. If so then use less vitamin C powder to mix weekly.
Recipe to make a weekly vitamin C serum that is more stable and less expensive:

I’m 17. For nearly a year I had a skin infection a really bad one. My mom had take me to see the doctor but the meds does not work so now even when I said that it really itchy and sometimes painfull and I want to see a doctor she just said that she doesnt have the money and just tell me to eat vitamin c. I’m really afraid and dont know who to talk to about it because my grandfather had died because of diabetes and I afraid that I have it. When someone else got hurt from mu family she will take him/her to the clinic but why not me?? I’m really suffering right now…
You’re merely overreacting. She does care about you. Your mother told you she didn’t have the money for it. That’s probably true. Things like the skin infection you have actually costs more money to be treated than just being sick. Plus, has any member of your family had to go to the clinic lately? Or just in the past…? You guys might just now be going into dept.

I have perfect, beautiful skin, except for right between my eyebrows above my nose. I don’t understand it, I eat really healthy and organically. I eat lots of veggies, omega fish oils and vitamin C, E, and A which I hear is great for your skin. I don’t eat a lot of sugar, fried food, etc… I don’t tweez my eyebrows or wear sunglasses. And I cleanse, tone, moisturizer and protect using all organic skin care. I don’t understand why I only have acne in that one place. I haven’t changed anything I do for my skin in the past year, and I just got this recently.

Niacinamide face cleansing pads are effective and simple way to keep acne away. Just place a pad on the pimple and watch it fade away.

You probably just collect more sweat there than other places and it cause bacteria to form. It could also be from taking care of your eyebrows. Do you pluck or wax? Consider if that may be the cause. And since you’re 15, you’re bound to get a little acne at one point or another. Just don’t let it rule your life because I promise people really don’t notice it.
