I just went to Dove’s website for their free samples. I will take samples for almost anything, cleaning products, makeup, skin care, baby products, etc.
Thanks! You gotta love free samples.
http://www.sampleaday.com is a great one.
They have a sample (sometimes more than one) every day. So the samples are always new and valid. They don’t offer those stupid gimics where you have to sign up for credit card offers either which is nice. You can also sign up for an e-mail so every day you can get the free sample sent to your inbox.
what is the best skin care product to use for severe adult acne and trying to get pregnant (so no accutane)?
there are so many products out there but I’m trying to get pregnant as well as clear up my acne. In the past I’ve tried proactiv and most dermatologist prescribed meds. Any suggestions on a topical skin care product that works best?? Please help!
Since you’re trying to get pregnant, you should only use over the counter meds. I have found that washing with the medicated Noxema works as well as anything else. Do it morning & night & stay away from facial moisturizers. You want your face to dry out. I know you know but I have to say STAY AWAY FROM ACCUTANE!!! My dermatologist said it would cause UNSPEAKABLE birth defects. Good luck!!
I get blackheads on my nose, and I have a few whiteheads and some blackheads on my chin. I also get a few pimples around my nose and on my cheeks. I was wondering what is a good skin care routine that is inexpensive and that does not require going to a dermatologist. Also, what are some good products to use?
i basically had that same situation.
garnier nutri-pure. its in a green tube thing. its like 7 bucks and lasts a while. just wash ur face with it everymorning and every night. my skin is pretty good now
Has anyone tried Nourish Skin Firming Lotion? Does it work? Where do you buy?
I’ve tried it alright! Doesn’t do a thing!!
I guess science still needs to come up with miracle in a bottle…
Looks like its time to head to the gym!..wanna come?
I am very fair skin toned, almost transparent, and i wanted to make sure if I try this it won’t make me look orange or too dark because I still want to have my fair skin tone but with a little glow. I don’t want to look so different that people will know I used a tanner, but rather a came back from the beach look. And does it leave streaks? And how much should I use? Also how long does it take for you to start noticing the difference. So many questions. Any advice would really help! Please!
It works well for me – I have pale skin with a yellow undertone (Asian). Personally, I notice a change from the first time using it. I take the following steps to keep from streaking or looking unnatural.
1) Exfoliate before your first start applying! Any spot that has dry skin will soak up more of the tanning lotion and turn out blotchy. Do a thorough job on knees, ankles, elbows, feet, and hands especially. After the first application, use a light exfoliator like a loofah puff when you bathe to keep things smooth.
2) Mix the tanning lotion half-and-half with your regular moisturizer before applying. I recommend this because it makes it almost impossible for you to turn out streaky AND it lets you gauge how strong the tanning effect will be on your skin. Change the proportion of tanner/lotion to suit your needs.
3) Apply more tanner to the areas that would naturally get more sun – tops of your shoulders for example. You don’t want to be a single color all over. That just screams "fake tan." Use the tanner to contour your body, applying it on the outside of your arms but not the undersides.
Good luck!

I take these everyday and some i have to take 3 times a day or more and I am sooooo tired of all this medicine. I was wondering if Seriquial will be better than the effexor, paxil and wellburtin and just be on one medicine for that. I cannot even function at all I feel like a zombie but I cannot get anyone to listen to me. Someone anyone help!! thank you
I don’t know how you have lived this long taking all he above medicines. Get away from that guy as quick as you can and seek help somewhere else. My wife takes a lot on medicine, but yours makes hers look like a drop in the bucket. Apparently you are in a lot of pain, so you do need some pain medications, but the ones he has you on are habit forming and if you stop taking them, your muscles will let you know it. The oxycontin you are speaking of is probably Percocet. There have been many law suits about that one. The other one is habit forming also. My wife takes a time released MS Contin, 45 Mg’s three times a day. It is morphine. Effexor makes you suicidal when taken with other antidepressants. Phenegran should never be taken with narcotic pain medicines. Seriquial and effexor are one in the same. Why don’t you try your luck with an Acupuncturist who may help you more and get you off most of those pills. Watch the iron, to much of it will build up in your body. I wouldn’t take that every day unless you are having low blood iron. But if you have been taking it this long, I would think that your iron was built up enough by now. If you don’t have ashma why take the inhalers. A multivitamin should also give you all the iron, calcium and and C you need. Watch for skin rashes, stinging and irratation with the bactroban. A lot of the medicines you are taking shouldn’t be mixed, like taking them at the same time, and some you take with food, some on an empty stomach. You can go on the medical site, Web MD, medlineplus or the mayo clinic and look up all of your medicines and see for yourself why they are prescribed, their side effects and lots of pother information. I feel so sorry for you Kra and I certainly hope that you can get some much much needed help. Surely out there somewhere you can find someone who can truly help you. I don’t know what you call them, but there are Medical People out there that can take a look at all that guy has you on and sort out some of the mess. Good luck to you.
I am most curious about Burts Bees, Alba (the seaweed line, not the hawaiian line), Vitamin C, and zia. I would most likely just get the gel-based cleanser, but am also looking for a new moisturizer. I break out very easily, and I find that fragrences and sunscreens aggravate my acne.
How good are those lines of products? Are they worth the money I would spend?
I tried the vitamin C line about a month ago and LOVE it. Right now I’m using there mosturizing cream. Burts Bess is okay, but I really only like there lip stuff. Alba is also okay, but not as good as vitamin C. I’ve never heard of zia….Another natural line u should try is Jason http://www.jason-natural.com/ I use there tea tree body wash as a facial cleanser because it helps calm my acne prone red skin and get rid of my black heads. Overall, vitamin C and Jason are the two lines I use and love. I’d reccomend Jason more because it helped my skin faster, but if u can’t get their products Vitamin C is good. Something similar to Vitamin C that I heard good stuff about for break outs is say yes to tomatos
