The Body Shop will give you a free sample of almost any product in the store if you ask nicely. Sephora often has samples on display that are yours for the taking. Department store cosmetics counters like Lancome and Clinique are usually pretty nice about samples, just be specific. Don’t say, "Hey can I have some free samples?" say, "I heard your [insert product here] is fantastic, but I’d like to test it out before making a purchase. Do you have a sample of it I can take home and test?" Salesgirls are more likely to fork over freebies if you insinuate that there’s a possibility you’ll make a purchase in the future.

Funnily enough, the cosmetics counter at Walgreens often has really rad samples. Buy a cheap lipstick or two and while the cashier rings you up, ask if she has any samples she can throw in your bag, while mentioning that they’re the reason behind many of your cosmetic purchases at that store.
Hope this helps! Snagging free stuff is an art!
I have suffered from very bad acne for going on three years now. I have a few very swollen & painful pimples deep beneath my skin, but most of them aren’t like that. I have some blackheads and whiteheads as well. I have oily skin, and I really need some help. I will try anything. home remedies, over the counter stuff, you name it. Just help me please! & thank you.
I often breakout during the time of my period.
Go to a dermatologist and ask them to put you on the antibiotic,Tetracycline,it really works to clear up the acne,it’s important that you drink a ton of water to flush out all of the toxins in your body, along with eating a healthy diet.Try and keep your hands off of your face, the oil from your hands only adds to the condition.I would go out and buy a good exfoliating scrub and it will help to sluff the dead skin cells off.I do know that dermatologists can give you an injection in the pimples that you have underneath your skin,it helps to kill the bacteria and it really is painless,it’s a lot better than ending up with a huge pimple.I would do what I suggested above and ask them about the injections.Hope this helps you out, there is hope out there!
i got my skin care regimen, and I have an appointment to see the dermatologist?
for my stomach and how fast does it work
I answered your first one:
heres a spectacular lotion recipe i came up with. It really works!
Ingredients: Enough of your favorite lotion to cover up your whole body, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of baby oil, and 1/2 teaspoon of honey
Directions: Put your lotion in a bowl. Add the olive oil. Stir gently until blended in. Add the honey and baby oil. Stir until mixture is all blended in. Store in a plastic bag if you want to save some
How fast does it work? Immediately.
Advantages: Your skin feels and looks healthier, shinier, cleaner, and smoother. Also its made of natural ingredients which are healthy for your skin and you wont break out. Oh, and there ingredients you can just find around the house
Disadvantages: Your skin may feel a little oily when you first put it on. But don’t worry I goes away!
Hope I helped and good luck!:)
What is the best skin firming lotion for the neck, that you have personally used?
I want to firm up the "turkey neck"
Definitely Avon’s Bust Sculpt. It usually runs about $16 but Avon always has their stuff on sale so I bet you can find it cheaper. You can find it here: www.youravon.com/serenabrown
I know it has vitamin-c my mother in law buys it from a catalog. please help
Pretty sure it’s Avon. Try the website.
Since high school I have used a lot of different skin care products, usually the higher end like estee lauder, clinique, merle norman etc. I never could use grocery/drug store type because I would breakout.
I use something for a few months with great success, and then all of a sudden it stops working. Or, I immediately break out or get dry skin.
I have very sensitive skin, especially to vitamin C, so a lot of anti aging products bother me. I started using Neutrogena products a few months ago and I thought I had found the answer, but now my skin is becoming flaky and has slight red bumps, but not acne.
My question is, where can I go to find the right skin care? I’m tired of trying samples at counters and buying products only to return them. Does anyone have a skin issue and have found a solution, or should I just head to the dermatologist? I’ve tried natural products and they don’t seem to help either.
What can I do?
I can totally relate to you.. I never had the big breakouts like most people had, just lots of redness and tiny bumps all the time. Finding the right combination of products was like a giant chemistry experiment, but I finally have it down.
I stopped washing twice a day because I was overstimulating my skin and I think the products were drying it out. I started using Proactiv, but only at night. It took a few weeks to really show results, but I’ve maintained perfect skin for the last 3 1/2 years. A first for me since the 5th grade! Also, their sulfur mask is like a miracle. I use it a couple times a week when I get breakouts. To remove make-up I use a really gentle remover wipe by the brand Comodynes (I get them at Trader Joe’s). I’ve tried a few different types of wipes, but these seem to work best and don’t sting. I even use them on my eyes. For a moisturizer, I use Aveeno’s skin calming moisturizer. It’s really light, not greasy at all, and has helped get rid of "red face". It’s the only moisturizer I’ve ever been able to use. For make-up, Bare Escentuals can’t be beat – no clogging, nice coverage, and I think it’s actually helped improve the texture of my skin. It’s also super quick and easy to apply.
I hope this helps you. You may still want to consult with a dermatologist because if you do have a skin condition, it may just keep getting irritated by any product you try until you get the condition cleared up. It’ll be worth it though- best of luck to you!
Just a small vent about the troubles of apartment living and also about some different products I am going to try…
